Speed and Data Quality Updates for the Audience Analytics

Enhanced face detection: 2 times faster and more accurate

We have upgraded our Face Detection libraries, training them on an extensive new dataset to improve speed, accuracy, and inclusivity.

Before

  • On DISPL Kit PRO 2 and 3 face detection took 2 seconds per visitor.
  • Lower detection accuracy for specific challenging cases (for example, with partially obstructed face view when a person wears hijab or a hood). Also, due to lack of additional training data, accuracy varied across different ethnic groups, potentially impacting data quality.

Now

  • Detection is 2x faster on all devices. For example, DISPL Kit 2 and 3 now detect and analyze faces in just 1 second instead of 2.
  • Higher analytics accuracy. Improved face detection in challenging cases and higher metrics accuracy across all ethnic groups for more reliable visitor statistics.
  • Optimized performance. Additional data training for the AI model ensures that every visitor is accurately detected and counted in analytics.

Data consistency fixes: 100% alignment across data sources

We have resolved discrepancies in visitor count data across Visitor Insights, Device Statistics, raw data, API exports.

Before

  • Differences in hourly visitor counts due to varying data filtering methods.
  • Visitor Insights showed lower visitor numbers compared to Device Statistics or exported reports with raw data.
  • Some visitor tracks were missing due to delays in data processing.

Now

  • Unified filtering methods. Reports now consistently count visitors across all time intervals.
  • Accurate visitor count alignment. No more discrepancies between Visitor Insights, Device Statistics, and exported reports.
  • Synchronization fixes. All visitor tracks are now reliably sent to the server, ensuring no data is lost.

100% consistency across all reporting tools, so you can fully trust the visitor analytics data in any of DISPL reports.

How to update

  1. Open your DISPL Player.
  2. Click "Update Player".
  3. Your software will be updated, ensuring you get all the latest improvements.
