Vintage Car Museum
Project description
The Vintage Car Museum, a part of ASBISc Enterprises Plc, is known for its collection of rare and unique classic cars such as antique Rolls Royce, vintage Cadillacs, and many others. The museum aimed to enhance visitors' experience by adopting tablets as digital signage. The goal was to make the exhibits more interactive and engaging, allowing visitors to learn about the history and significance of the classic cars displayed.
Goal
The primary goal of introducing digital signage via tablets was to modernize how visitors interacted with the exhibits, providing a more interactive and informative means of learning about the museum's exhibits. By providing detailed information about each exhibit car directly through the tablets, visitors could have a deeper understanding of the history and significance of the classic cars displayed.
Work process
The project involved deploying 14 specially mounted 10" tablets by Prestigio Solutions, secured in floor stands from Compulocs, throughout the museum. These tablets were equipped with the DISPL digital signage software, enabling content distribution and remote management across all devices. The software also allowed the collection of analytics and presentation of targeted content based on demographic factors like gender, age, or even mood. This technology allowed visitors to directly access detailed information about each exhibit car through the tablets, enriching their visit with a blend of technological interaction and historical exploration.
Results
Integrating tablets as digital signage at the Vintage Car Museum significantly improved the visitor experience. Feedback from visitors indicated that they found the tablets interactive and engaging, appreciating the novel way of learning about the exhibits. Using tablets facilitated a more immersive exploration of the museum's collection, reduced congestion around popular exhibits, and enhanced overall visitor engagement. This success story underscores the effectiveness of tablets as a digital signage solution in museums, offering a promising strategy for improving visitor interaction and engagement through technology.
