DISPL 2026 Product Roadmap: What’s Coming This Year

released:
April 15, 2026

We’re expanding in six strategic directions simultaneously, each designed to make our platform more powerful, more accessible, and more valuable for your business. From comprehensive API coverage to built-in AI tools, from retail media enhancements to dramatically lower hardware costs, here’s everything you can expect.

Six Development Streams

Our 2026 roadmap is organized into six strategic streams. Each addresses a distinct dimension of the platform, but together they form a cohesive vision for where DISPL is headed.

  1. API First. We’re opening up the platform so third-party tools and custom integrations can work with DISPL seamlessly, without needing our interface.
  2. AI First. Built-in artificial intelligence tools for content creation, template design, and natural language interaction with your data.
  3. Business Features. Capabilities that directly impact your revenue: retail media, cross-device analytics, and sales correlation dashboards.
  4. Ops — Automation. Monitoring, anomaly detection, and automated reporting to keep your installations running smoothly with minimal effort.
  5. Device Management. Removing cost barriers by supporting more affordable hardware options and multi-camera architecture that dramatically reduces installation costs.
  6. Core. Foundational technology upgrades that power everything else: multisensor analytics, re-identification, and sales metrics.

API First

Why API First?

The technology landscape is changing rapidly. AI is making it easier than ever to build new software tools, which means platforms like ours face growing competitive pressure. However, building a product with DISPL’s depth of infrastructure, multiplatform support, and functional capabilities from scratch is extremely difficult and makes no economic sense.
We believe customers will continue to choose DISPL — but the way they use our product will change. Instead of working directly in our interface, many users will interact with DISPL through their own tools, custom dashboards, or third-party platforms built on top of our system.

What We’re Building

To support this shift, we’re creating a comprehensive API layer that covers every major area of the platform:

  • Campaign Creation API. Programmatically create and configure advertising campaigns without touching the DISPL interface.
  • Campaign Moderation API. Automate content approval workflows and moderation rules.
  • Subscription Management API. Manage user subscriptions, plans, and access levels via API.
  • Logs API. Access detailed system logs for monitoring, debugging, and audit purposes.
  • Billing API. Integrate billing and payment data with your own financial systems.
  • Admin API. Full administrative control over your DISPL deployment, enabling us to build better management tools ourselves.
  • Marketing Integrations. Connect DISPL with your existing marketing technology stack.

What This Means for You

You’ll be able to build custom workflows, integrate DISPL data into your existing dashboards, and automate tasks that previously required manual work in our interface. If you’re a developer or have a technical team, you’ll have full programmatic access to the platform. If you’re using third-party tools for campaign management or analytics, they’ll be able to connect to DISPL natively.

AI First

Intelligence Built Into Every Workflow

We’re embedding AI capabilities directly into the DISPL platform, transforming how you create content, design templates, and interact with your data.

Content Generator

Creating engaging digital signage content has always required design skills and time. Our new AI-powered Content Generator changes that equation entirely. Describe what you want: the message, the mood, the audience. And the system generates ready-to-use visuals, copy, and layouts. This dramatically reduces the time and expertise needed to keep your screens fresh and relevant.

AI Template Editor

This is a fundamentally new way to work with our template designer. Instead of manually adjusting elements, fonts, and colors, you describe what you want in natural language. “Create a promotional banner for a weekend sale with bold typography and warm colors”, and the system builds it for you. You can then refine through additional text instructions or switch to manual editing for fine-tuning.

AI Chat Assistant

Your DISPL account contains a wealth of data: visitor counts, demographics, dwell times, campaign performance, and more. The AI Chat Assistant lets you interact with all of this through natural conversation. Ask “What was my busiest hour last Tuesday?” or “Compare foot traffic between my downtown and mall locations” and get instant, accurate answers with supporting charts.

Custom AI-Generated Dashboards

Beyond answering questions, the conversational interface can generate entirely new dashboard views based on the data accumulated in your system. Request a specific analysis perspective, and the system builds a visual dashboard tailored to your needs, no configuration menus required.

Business Features

Capabilities That Directly Drive Revenue

This stream focuses on features that have a direct impact on your deals, your clients, and your bottom line.

Integration with On-Site Systems

Many of our installations exist alongside other systems — POS terminals, inventory management, existing digital infrastructure. We’re building deeper integrations so DISPL works seamlessly with what’s already at your locations, creating a unified data picture rather than isolated silos.

Simplified Data Interpretation

You’re already collecting valuable data through DISPL. But raw numbers aren’t insights. We’re introducing AI-powered assistants and chatbots that help you understand what your data means — identifying trends, flagging anomalies, and suggesting actions in plain language rather than requiring you to parse charts and tables.

Signal Extraction for Lead Generation

We’re making your DISPL-powered inventory more interactive. The platform will detect signals — specific visitor behaviors, demographic triggers, or engagement patterns — and use them for lead generation or to trigger real-time content changes. This turns passive displays into active business tools.

Retail Media: Programmatic + Guaranteed Campaigns

This year we’re focusing heavily on the Retail Media concept to offer a more complete product. We’re significantly reworking our programmatic advertising system and introducing a new campaign type called “Guaranteed” — essentially time-slot booking for guaranteed ad impressions through the advertiser’s DSP (Demand-Side Platform). This gives advertisers the certainty they need while giving you new monetization options.

Multi-Device Re-Identification

Accurate visitor data requires eliminating double-counting. Our enhanced Re-Identification system works across multiple devices within a single location, identifying unique visitor silhouettes even when they pass different cameras. This means your traffic numbers reflect actual unique visitors, not inflated counts.

Sales Metrics Dashboard

This is perhaps the most impactful new feature for proving ROI. The Sales Metrics Dashboard correlates the analytics data DISPL collects — traffic, demographics, engagement — with actual point-of-sale results at your locations. For the first time, you’ll see a direct, data-backed connection between what happens on your screens and what happens at your cash registers.

Ops — Automation

Big Product, Small Team — Automation Is Essential

DISPL is a large, feature-rich platform maintained by a focused team. To ensure reliability at scale, we’re investing heavily in automation tools that keep everything running smoothly.

Comprehensive Monitoring

We’re building a unified monitoring system covering devices, platform health, server status, and usage statistics. If something goes wrong anywhere in your deployment — a screen goes offline, a server shows unusual load, a data pipeline stalls — we’ll know about it immediately and can respond before it impacts your operations.

Anomaly Detection at Installation Sites

Not all problems are obvious. A camera that’s been bumped slightly off-angle, lighting conditions that have changed, a sensor that’s too far from its target — these subtle issues degrade data quality without triggering obvious alarms. Our new anomaly detection system continuously evaluates installation conditions and flags deviations from recommended configurations.

Traffic Light System with Auto-Configuration

Each installation site gets a visual health indicator — green, yellow, or red — along with specific recommendations for optimization. The system doesn’t just tell you something is wrong; it tells you exactly what to fix and how.

Automated Weekly PDF Reports

We’re introducing automatic weekly email reports in PDF format containing your existing analytics with charts, trends, and AI-generated insights. Even if you haven’t logged into the platform recently, you’ll receive a digest that keeps you informed about what’s happening at your locations. This is designed to re-engage users who are collecting valuable data but may have forgotten that DISPL is working for them in the background — and to remind them of the value our platform delivers every day.

Device Management

Removing Cost Barriers to Scale

One of the biggest obstacles to DISPL adoption is installation cost. We’re attacking this problem from two angles.

Affordable Digital Signage Hardware

In many countries, especially those with high import taxes, professional digital signage equipment is prohibitively expensive. We’re qualifying and supporting affordable, globally available hardware that delivers excellent performance at a fraction of the cost. These devices will work seamlessly with DISPL and offer maximum cost-efficiency without compromising on the features you need.

Multi-Camera Architecture

The current model for video analytics requires one DISPL player per camera. For locations with multiple cameras, this means buying multiple players and, more critically, mounting each player near its camera — often in difficult-to-access locations. For many of our clients, the installation and mounting costs far exceed the hardware costs themselves.
Our new Multi-Camera Architecture solves this problem entirely. A single server sits in the client’s server room or network closet, and all cameras throughout the venue connect to it via standard IP networking. One server, one installation, multiple cameras — dramatically reducing both hardware and installation costs. This is the kind of change that makes the difference between a pilot project and a full-scale rollout.

Core

Foundational Capabilities Powering the Platform

The Core stream contains the fundamental technologies that make everything else possible. These capabilities overlap with and underpin both Business Features and Device Management.

Multisensor Full Version

The complete multi-sensor analytics engine is the backbone of accurate visitor data collection. This full version brings together all sensor modalities into a unified, production-ready system that delivers the accuracy and reliability our enterprise clients require.

Multi Devices ReID

Cross-device visitor re-identification eliminates duplicate counts when visitors move between different cameras within a location. This is the technology that ensures your analytics reflect reality — actual unique visitors, not artifacts of multi-camera setups.

Sales Metrics MVP

The minimum viable product for linking analytics to business outcomes. This is the foundational data pipeline that connects DISPL’s visitor intelligence with point-of-sale systems, proving the direct impact of digital signage on actual sales performance.
