DISPLAYFORCE GLOBAL LIMITED (the “DISPL”) offers to their customers Displayforce Platform (“the Platform”).
The Platform is privacy protecting and complies with the requirements imposed by the General Data Protection Regulation (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2016/679/oj (“the GDPR”)).
DISPL customers use screens that are equipped with a camera and which, depending on the behaviour of persons accidentally in the recording area ("passers-by") registered by the camera, display certain content, with the aim of attracting the attention of passers-by to the products and services of the DISPL customers. These camera-equipped screens are therefore referred to as "interactive screens".
The Platform stores anonymous “metadata” that describes the size and the demographics of an audience. All cameras do not collect any sensitive data that could be uniquely associated with an individual, no image needs to be recorded or transmitted.
DISPL is the “data processor”. All the anonymous audience measurement data generated by our software is securely encrypted and uploaded onto our servers, which only our clients can access. Our clients are the “data controllers”: the anonymous data is never resold or shared to any third party without their consent.
DISPL, as the data processor, does not process special categories of data. Therefore, it is not obliged to obtain consent for such processing from data subjects.
By means of the built-in cameras, a purely quantitative recording of the persons in the recording area of the screens is initially carried out for the purpose of frequency measurement. This is used for anonymous and automated frequency counting, whereby the number and length of stay of passers-by in the recording area is determined. In addition, in individual cases, an assessment of the gender and an assignment to an age group is made based on some real-time recordings and these values are statistically recorded. The information will not be used for other purposes. Since the use of data is not designed to recognize people, these recordings are not stored. The Platform is completely unaware of personal habits, and it has no memory of the face it "saw" during previous visits. The data obtained cannot be used to create a customer history. Interactive screens or their recording areas are clearly marked, in particular by stickers and pictograms.
The interactive screens contain NO STORAGE MEDIA, i.e. no people or their behaviour are recorded. Also excluded is a separate real-time viewing of the images captured by the camera on other screens or playback devices.
If you have any further questions about data protection, please contact the data protection officer: Sergei Galeev, email: serge@displ.com. User’s Support: support@displ.com.
